Abstract:

According to the great demand for the "green" plastics processing technology of the low energy consumption, high efficiency and environmental protection in plastics industry, the plastics processing method and technology based on the elongation rheology, with continuing evolution and innovation of the plastics plasticating and conveying method, are presented and researched on the basis of the plastics dynamic processing method and equipment, and it is focused on that the plastics plasticating and conveying process in the vane extrusion system, the technical characteristics of that and the applications of vane plasticating and conveying technology are discussed. The research results show that compared with the conventional processing equipment, this new technology and equipment shows many outstanding advantages, such as shortening the thermo-mechanical history of the plastics processing more than 50 %, reducing the energy consumption 30 % or so, improving the mixing and blending effects, improving the quality of the products and the adaptability to materials, etc., and it is meanwhile found that the new technology and equipment has special superiority in the fields of the processing for material systems, such as the multiphase and multicomponent composite materials, the shear heat sensitive macromolecular materials, etc.

Abstract: Natural gas hydrates are promising potential alternative energy resources. Some studies on the multiphase flow and thermodynamics have been conducted to investigate the feasibility of gas production from hydrate dissociation. The methods for natural gas production are analyzed and several models describing the dissociation process are listed and compared. Two prevailing models, one for depressurization and the other for thermal stimulation, are discussed in detail. A comprehensive numerical method considering the multiphase flow and thermodynamics of gas production from various hydrate-bearing reservoirs is required to better understand the dissociation process of natural gas hydrate, which would be of great benefit to its future exploration and exploitation.

Abstract:

In this paper, new development about the study of dispersion-compensable low transmission loss optical fiber, nonzero dispersion displacement optical fiber, and carbon-coated or silicon nitride-coated optical fiber (applied in bad environment) was comprehensively introduced. Then the manufacture technology of band optical fiber including its structure, coatings, properties and manufacture process was reviewed. Multi-core optical fiber band cable manufacture technology such as twisted loose-tube, center loose-tube, frame, dry core band optical cable was also discussed.

Latest development of double perovskite electrode materials for solid oxide fuel cells: a review

Abstract: Recently, the development and fabrication of electrode component of the solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) have gained a significant importance, especially after the advent of electrode supported SOFCs. The function of the electrode involves the facilitation of fuel gas diffusion, oxidation of the fuel, transport of electrons, and transport of the byproduct of the electrochemical reaction. Impressive progress has been made in the development of alternative electrode materials with mixed conducting properties and a few of the other composite cermets. During the operation of a SOFC, it is necessary to avoid carburization and sulfidation problems. The present review focuses on the various aspects pertaining to a potential electrode material, the double perovskite, as an anode and cathode in the SOFC. More than 150 SOFCs electrode compositions which had been investigated in the literature have been analyzed. An evaluation has been performed in terms of phase, structure, diffraction pattern, electrical conductivity, and power density. Various methods adopted to determine the quality of electrode component have been provided in detail. This review comprises the literature values to suggest possible direction for future research.
